Learn to Play is about making play and physical activity fun and exciting and an essential part of daily routine throughout life. Its about instilling in them the love to be Active and we do that through stories, music and fun equipment.

Zoommer is a physical literacy program for young children aged 3 years and above. Physical Literacy is developed by continuously working on the Fundamental Movement Skills (FMS). FMS are the building blocks to more complex skills and movement patterns used in games, sport, dance and other recreational activities.

Just like when we are learning to speak, we first learn the ABC, then the phonetics (sounds of the ABC), then move on to learning simple words like Mat, Sat, Cat and finally we learn to string these simple words in to sentences.

In the same way FMS help us with developing basic movement skills which when linked together create a movement phrase that depicts a sport. For eg: basic skills required to play basketball will be: Running, Hopping, Jumping, Catching, Throwing, Bouncing, Static and Dynamic balance etc.

These skills are first taught in isolation and then slowly linked together. This is how sport is taught all around the world.

Why this program works:

  • Fun Multi-Skill kit
  • Quality of the lessons
  • Age and ability specific program
  • Can be done in a small space indoor
  • Two live classes per week
  • Children learn not only from their educator but also from others
  • It is inspiring to see other children move
  • Most children can do the program independently

Through the program and with the help of the Multi-Skill Kit your child will be able to better these following skills:

Interception, Prediction, Dynamic Balance, Striking, Throwing, Catching.

The program has been aptly designed by international experts in the early childhood physical education space to ensure that limitations of age and ability are strictly taken into mind while delivering the course

For Eg: In Learn to Play, catching is introduced to preschool children using a buffer pack which is large and floats in the air easily for them to develop the confidence to catch. In Active Play, 1st and 2nd graders are introduced to catching using a balloon and a happy square, where as the Ready to Play program enhances catching as a skill amongst primary schoolers by using multiple happy squares and balls of different sizes.

And so even though the skills being developed are the same for all age groups we ensure that children of all age and ability develop confidence and feel challenged at the same time throughout the program

  • Regular physical activity has a positive impact on academic performance
  • Learning new skills with new equipment is FUN
  • Better Nutritional intelligence enables children to make healthy eating choices on a daily basis
  • Builds confidence and motivates the children to be more open to explore new challenges and activities. This boldness also impacts other aspects of life such as making friends and making decisions for the future
  • Improves Memory and Cognitive Function. Exercise builds brain cells and creates an environment in which the brain is ready, willing, and able to learn
  • The program helps build a foundation for lifelong physical and emotional wellbeing
  • Significant improvement in the mental wellbeing as physical activity releases endorphins OR Happy Hormones. Children that have a healthy dose of physical activity are more likely to feel good and happy
  • Active children influence families to be ACTIVE!
